be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

 

*** of course, this verse follows closely on 4:12 which says "set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 

*** which follows closely on 4:7 which says "train yourself to be godly"

*** so i guess the question is - how hard did you work this summer? - was your brain on vacation? - can everyone see your progress?
